Selecting Your Sparks: Rechargeable Headphones

The Sparks programme gives Key Stage 2 pupils the chance to take responsibility for setting up and maintaining now>press>play equipment. It’s a great way for children to develop new skills, confidence, and leadership.

Getting Started

  1. Select pupils – we recommend choosing children from Years 3, 4, and 5. You can select as many as you like.

  2. Share the role – print or read out the Sparks job description.

  3. Training – play the first training video to your Sparks, making sure they have a box of equipment to hand.

  4. Check learning – lead the slideshow quiz after the video to review their understanding.

  5. Reward them – give Sparks their badges.

  6. Ongoing responsibilities – when it’s their class’s turn for a now>press>play Experience, Sparks set up beforehand and pack away afterwards.

Bonus: Extra videos are available for schools with two boxes or for replacing foam ear pads.
