Selecting Your Sparks
The Sparks programme gives Key Stage 2 pupils the chance to take responsibility for setting up and maintaining now>press>play equipment. It’s a great way for children to develop new skills, confidence, and leadership.
Getting Started
-
Select pupils – we recommend choosing children from Years 3, 4, and 5. You can select as many as you like.
-
Share the role – print or read out the Sparks job description.
-
Training – play the first training video to your Sparks, making sure they have a box of equipment to hand.
-
Check learning – lead the slideshow quiz after the video to review their understanding.
-
Reward them – give Sparks their badges.
-
Ongoing responsibilities – when it’s their class’s turn for a now>press>play Experience, Sparks set up beforehand and pack away afterwards.
Bonus: Extra videos are available for schools with two boxes or for replacing foam ear pads.
